Karen Washington & The New Singing Stars

Hello, my name is Karen Washington and I would like to take this time to share with you an incident that happened to me back in 1996. Yes, I am up and about and doing fine. I wanted to share this because every day someone is being attack by the enemy through sickness, depression, poverty, fear, loneliness, low-self esteem, peer pressure, grief, sorrow, suicidal thoughts and etc.

How I know is because I got attack my self which was a wake up call for me. The attack still comes but can't linger long because I found the answer. Calling on the name of Jesus saved my life, and delivered from a devastating stroke on November 8, 1996. At that time my level of faith was not near to where it is now. All I knew was I had to use what little faith I had then and put it to work by calling on the name of Jesus, the name above all names to help me. I was asleep when suddenly it felt like someone hit me and I was awakened. I didn't know what was going on, I had a slight headache earlier but it had left. I sat up in the bed trying to pull myself together because I woke up in a panic.

When I tried to stand up I fell back in the bed and could not move my lower body. I told my husband that I couldn't move. While still sitting there trying to figure out what to do because it didn't dawn on me at that time something was wrong. Oh Praise the Lord. I can feel His presence while writing this.

My Heavenly Father spoke into my spirit and said to take my hands and pick up my legs start kicking and began to call on the name of Jesus. I call on the name of Jesus repeatedly until I received strength again. I got up and began walking around still unaware of what had happened. I made an appointment to see the doctor. I went to five doctors and they couldn't diagnose what was wrong. The fifth doctor made an appointment for me to go to Baptist Hospital of Nashville, Tennessee, which took ten days before I could see him. That was when my condition was diagnosed. The doctor said a small vessel had burst in my head causing a small amount of bleeding and leakage which lead up to a mild stroke.

Oh, I give thanks to Almighty God because it could have been worst. The doctor didn't have to do surgery because it had already begun to heal on its own. I pray in the name of Jesus that this article will be a help to someone knowing that there is power in the name of Jesus for deliverance, salvation, healing, breakthroughs, or whatever your needs may be. In spite of what you have done, what you are going through know, what your situation may be, I encourage you to practice today calling on the name of Jesus. That name saved me. The God I serve is a mighty God and He is real.

I love God and I want to advance His kingdom through songs to make a difference in the world where there is so much pain and suffering, sin and death, sickness and diseases. It is very important that families are feed upon the Word of God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. {John 3:16} Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." {John 10:10} You can have this life that Jesus has for you by receiving Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior. Today Is The Day.
